These lean to sheds are built to a high standard, well above average. As you can see from the image, a solid door and frame, with key turn mortice lock.
Fitted within a solid partition wall, finished with pressure treated tongue and groove cladding. The frame of the wall is built off the ground, on blocks to prevent splash back from the rain and rising damp from the
ground.
The inside of the lean to shed is bright and tidy. Some credit is due to the builder of the house, and the tidy finish of the exterior walls. The plywood
floor is very strong and durable, a damp proof course has been installed beneath to eliminate rising damp in the space. The floor is built to deal with the heavy awkward stuff, not just light traffic.
The boundary wall to the road was at a perfect height for this lean to shed, the roof finished beneath the wall capping, making the structure practically
invisible from the other side. This was a customer requirement, implemented at the planning stage.
More Sheds
This is the area soon after commencement of work. The lean to shed has an
aluminum gutter fitted tight to the wall and wrapping the pillar. The damp course is installed beneath the floor joists. The central area of the floor still needs some more framing work. There are access pipe junction
covers there that need to be accessible later. The area will be framed accordingly with a removable square of plywood, to gain access.
This is the aluminum gutter wrapping the pillar. The rain water flows into a pvc down pipe, and to the closest shore.

The framing of the floor is finished, the access to the aj(access junction)has been framed, and the plywood is being fitted to finish
the sub floor.
The
floor frame has bridging that supports the plywood on all edges, making for a rigid, strong floor.
