This garden decking is a personnel favourite, Californian redwood. This deck was designed to surround the grassed area, making good use of the limited space. Seats and planter boxes help maintain tidy lines.
This deck was built in an octagonal shape using Bangkirai decking. With Bangkirai being a redwood species,it has qualities which make it resistant to rot. After measurements were taken of the garden space and surrounding garden features. This design worked perfectly to connect all the garden elements. Again this wooden deck has a solid frame built with 6x2 pressure treated timber joists and resting on concrete piers.
Timber deck made of scandinavion spruce decking, surrounded with mooring rope on posts. A step has been fitted into the deck as an added feature.
The unusual angle of the garden from the house dictates the design of this deck. The decking is scandinavion spruce, resting on a 6x2 treated frame, using concrete and cement blocks as piers. The oil tank(which is covered to the left of the photo), should have been moved in my opinion.
This deck was built using pressure treated Scandinavian Spruce. Seating and planter boxes have been built into the design, these also help to shelter the deck on windy days. A solid frame built with 6x2 pressure treated timber joists and resting on concrete piers(no wood is in contact with the soil). This insures a longer lifespan.
Californian redwood decking.
Intricate timber framing detail required to achieve an octagonal deck design. All cut ends have been treated to prolong the life of the timber frame.
This is another scandinavion spruce deck, I built twelve years ago. It has been well maintained, with a coat of preservetive each year. The seating on this deck is great, although it does use a lot of decking to achieve.
The wooden decking used here is Bankerai. This hardwood deck has a beautiful rich finish. Fixed on a solid 6x2 frame with stainless steel screws.
